About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server DBA for a contract consulting position supporting a Kyndryl client in the financial sector. This role focuses on database migration, ensuring high availability, and optimizing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee SQL Server database migration, utilizing replication or backup/restore methods.
• Ensure high availability and minimal downtime during transition.
• Conduct load testing and validation to maintain optimal performance.
• Monitor database performance pre- and post-migration for seamless operations.
• Update documentation and data lineage mapping.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong expertise in SQL Server database management and migration.
• Experience ensuring database availability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (onsite 2 days/week in downtown Toronto).
