Job summary

Sport Chek seeks a Department Sales Manager of Hardgoods to lead a retail team in delivering top customer experiences and driving sales for sporting goods. You will coach, develop, and motivate staff while building effective plans and relationships with customers across the department.

You bring at least two years in retail with a passion for sports, and you will shape the team culture, implement daily sales plans, and support growth through mentorship and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a retail environment, preferably supervisory level.
• Proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills.
• Demonstrated interest in sports or sporting goods industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop your department team by setting expectations and providing ongoing feedback.
• Build and manage a daily game and sales plan for the department.
• Develop development plans for full-time staff and communicate through regular coaching sessions.
