DESIFEST, North America's leading South Asian music festival, is looking for a driven, strategic, and culturally aware individual to lead our sponsorship and sales efforts. As we prepare for our 20th year, we are expanding our leadership team and inviting someone with passion, hustle, and proven experience in business development to help scale our impact.

About the Role

You will lead all sponsorship efforts, from prospecting and pitching to closing deals and managing partner relationships, working closely with Founder, Sathish Bala. You will collaborate with our marketing team to create customized brand opportunities that align with DESIFEST’s values and the goals of our sponsors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new sponsorship opportunities with brands, agencies, and public institutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners
  • Lead all communications related to sponsorship proposals, negotiations, and activations
  • Develop tailored pitch decks and partnership strategies targeting different industries and audience segments
  • Track sales performance and maintain CRM reporting

Who You Are

  • A natural connector who understands brand objectives and cultural engagement
  • 3+ years experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or brand marketing (festival or cultural event experience is a plus)
  • Confident communicator and negotiator, comfortable in high-stakes meetings
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and excited about building something meaningful
  • Deep understanding or interest in South Asian culture and music is a must
