Job summary

Windscape Kite Club is seeking an enthusiastic, organized Community Engagement Coordinator to help build sponsorships, partnerships, and volunteer teams for Long Day’s Night and the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival. This is a collaborative, community-facing role for someone who enjoys connecting with people, staying organized, and helping events run smoothly.

Qualifications

Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Proven outreach, sponsorship requests, public speaking, and community engagement.
Ability to work independently while staying connected with a team.
Experience with Excel, Google Drive, and event or volunteer coordination.
Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle and computer.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with cash and in-kind sponsors.
Deliver sponsorship packages and follow up with prospective sponsors.
Coordinate sponsorship invoicing, logo collection, recognition, benefits, banners, and reports.
Meet sponsorship goals by the end of March 2027.
Support volunteer recruitment, communication, scheduling, orientation, and festival-day check-in.
Work with the Volunteer Committee, Festival Manager, board members, and coordinators to fill volunteer roles and respond to needs.
Support volunteer coordination during event operations and wrap-up.
