Job summary

CBI Home Health is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist to provide services in the Peterborough region, delivering care at home and via virtual methods. Join a collaborative Integrated Care Program focused on post-acute recovery and personalized community care.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, assess swallowing and communication needs, and use digital health tools to support care delivery and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
• Person- and family-centered care focused.
• Comfortable delivering care in person and via virtual methods/technology.
• Passionate, empathetic, good judgement and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently.
• Flexible with strong critical thinking across varied situations.
• Value keeping clients at home where they want to be.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement SLP interventions (swallowing, dysphagia, communication) in a home-based setting.
• Use a collaborative, interdisciplinary team-based approach to care.
• Support holistic and restorative care, e.g., stroke pathways and cognitive communication supports.
• Leverage digital health platforms to support care delivery, documentation, and intervention.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $117.10 – $132.30 per visit.

What You Will Do

• Assessment and implementation of SLP interventions (i.e. swallowing assessments, dysphagia management, communication, etc.) in a home-based setting

What You Will Need To Be Successful

• You are registered as a member in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance

• You are comfortable delivering care both in person and using virtual methods/technology
• You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
• You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
• You are flexible and have demonstrated skills in critical thinking that you can apply to a variety of situations.
• You value the role a therapist plays in keeping clients at home, where they want to be
