Job summary

Providence is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Calgary team. You will conduct assessments, plan interventions, and coach educators and families in a collaborative setting.

The position runs 8 AM–4 PM, Monday to Friday, with professional development funding and a comprehensive benefits package. Travel within Calgary is expected, and vaccination and police checks are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
• Proficiency with word processing and AAC-related software.
• Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with children.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to establish qualifications for services and guide intervention.
• Manage a pediatric caseload with diverse needs and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and monitor child-centred plans.
• Provide coaching to teachers and staff for classroom implementation of goals.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with a passion for working with young children to join our growing team as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist. The hours of work are 8 AM – 4 PM (Monday to Friday).

• Manage a caseload with a diverse and complex pediatric population and their families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and monitor integrated, child-centred plans
• Provide coaching and guidance to teachers and support staff to support the effective implementation of speech and language goals within the classroom environment
• Gather, interpret, and use data to inform treatment planning and monitor progress
• Engage parents in planning, decision-making, and program implementation
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment by building strong relationships with team members and supporting a culture of teamwork and respect.

Qualifications:

• Master’s graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology degree program from a recognized university.
• Registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
• Proficiency with word processing and software packages for language development and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
• Experience working with children as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Successful practicum experience with good references is an asset.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel within Calgary areas.
