Job summary

Pacekids Programs in Calgary is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Community and In-Home team. You will assess speech and language development for children entering our program and collaborate with families, educators, and the interdisciplinary team to support communication growth.

New graduates and experienced SLPs are welcome. The role offers a collaborative environment, ongoing learning, and meaningful impact on young learners.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent and licensure in good standing with ACSLPA.
• Current professional liability insurance.
• Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Recent clearances: Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language assessments for preschool and school-aged children.
• Prepare family-friendly reports to support programming decisions.
• Share recommendations and strategies with families and team members.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals to support consistent communication development.
• Support classrooms to help implement communication goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Pediatric / Community

Reports To: Clinical Manager
Schedule: Monday – Thursday (10:30 AM – 6:00 PM) & Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Location: Pacekids North and community-based settings

We are hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Community and In-Home team in Calgary.

In this Speech-Language Pathologist role, you will conduct speech and language assessments for children entering our program and work closely with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support communication development and early learning.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment alongside educators, therapists, and families to support children’s communication and early learning.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is passionate about helping children build the communication skills they need to thrive. New graduates and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists are welcome to apply.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Support classrooms when needed to help implement communication goals

Position Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
• Registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
• Current professional liability insurance
• Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Recent clearances: Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Check
• Experience supporting young children with diverse developmental needs is considered an asset
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
