Job summary

Interior Health Authority is hiring a permanent, part-time Early Childhood Development Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the Nelson Health Centre, BC. Job description

We are hiring a permanent, part-time (0.50 FTE) Early Childhood Development Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the Nelson Health Centre.

Days of Work

Speech-Language Pathology services in this location are offered Monday through Friday. We are open to discussing the preferred work schedule with the successful candidate.

Shift time

08:30 to 16:30

About This Position

As an Early Childhood Development Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with children from birth to school entry and their families, supporting a diverse population from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Your role will include screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in all areas of speech, language, and communication development. You’ll collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to support early communication skills and participate in family‑centred, culturally responsive care. This position also involves regular collaboration with professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD), the Ministry of Education, and local community organizations, allowing for a truly team‑based approach to early intervention.
