Job summary

The Speech Solution Centre in Toronto, Ontario is hiring a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, treat, and supervise in-person clients within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Masters in SLP, CASLPO registration, excellent communication and organizational skills, with availability Monday to Friday and some evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Registered with CASLPO.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: conduct in-person formal and informal speech and language assessments, interpretation, goal setting, progress notes writing and report writing.
• Consultation: provide consultation to school teachers/childcare and other professionals in the circle of care of complex cases to inform treatment planning and service delivery; work with parents and other professionals as needed.
• Treatment: deliver evidence-based treatment for clients (individual, group, or parent training) analysis and goal setting, documentation, progress monitoring, and discharge planning as well as caregiver education and training.
• Supervision of support staff: supervise support staff; read notes, observe sessions, discuss cases and provide support as needed.
• Administration: attend Centre meetings, schedule client appointments, manage speech and language client files and documentation.
• Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all sensitive client data.
• Other duties as assigned.
