Job summary

ErinoakKids Center for Treatment and Development in Oakville is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a temporary full-time role at the Oakville Site. The position focuses on prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language and feeding challenges in children.

The successful candidate will join a team delivering comprehensive pediatric speech-language services, with an emphasis on parent coaching, family support, and evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Two years of clinical experience working with children with special needs preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience with clinical pediatric population is preferred.
• Well-developed clinical skills including: Feeding, AAC, developmental delays/disorders, parent/caregiver coaching.
• Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language assessment and intervention for children who present with a broad range of communication disorders.
• Manage an assigned case load and contribute to the quality of care to clients through adherence to the professional standards of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Support client families by providing individual and group training and resources to parents that will support the development of communication skills at home.
• Maintain regular contact with client families and keep them informed of treatment plans.
