Position: Speech and Language Pathologist

Location: Reno, NV

Type: Per Diem - Non Benefited

Schedule: Day shift, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Req # 180185, Biweekly hours vary

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for providing quality Speech and Language Pathology services under supervision, offering comprehensive evaluation and treatment for cognitive, communication, and swallowing issues across various patient groups, including pediatric to geriatric patients.

Nature and Scope

The incumbent provides direct patient care, contributes to interdisciplinary team discussions, and participates in discharge planning. Flexibility to work across different facility types is required. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, with potential involvement in program development and outcome measurement. Per diem staff must work at least one major and one minor holiday annually, with specific holidays outlined.

Minimum Qualifications

Requirement	Description
Education	Must have appropriate education for Speech Language Pathology licensure; recent graduates may be considered with provisional status.
Experience	None required; experience or certification in specialty areas is preferred.
Licenses	Ability to obtain Nevada Speech Language Pathology license; provisional license acceptable initially. Valid driver’s license required.
Certification	BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required.
Computer Skills	Ability to complete online learning and access digital resources within 90 days of employment.
