The Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, creative and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join the Extensive Needs Service, a new program for individuals up to the age of 18, whose needs cannot be met in a single service stream and who require an integrated approach across Mental, Behavioural and Developmental Health. While this is primarily a clinical role, there will be opportunity to work with other members of an interprofessional team to develop the Speech Language Pathologist role within Extensive Needs based on best practice and evidence. As an integral member of the interprofessional team, the Speech Language Pathologist will provide trauma-informed and compassionate assessment, and intensive intervention, and consultation to children, youth and families with extensive needs such as co-occurring medical, physical and developmental complexities and/or social vulnerabilities. The successful candidate will also provide consultation and training to inter-disciplinary team members. To promote an equitable and accessible treatment model for clients and their families, services will be provided in a variety of locations including Holland Bloorview main campus, satellite clinics across the GTA and the client’s home and/or school.
This is a temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) position until May, 2026.
