JLR is seeking a Specification Writer in Canada to join its Project Delivery group. You will develop and manage project specifications, translating design concepts into clear narratives and material requirements, while supporting standardization across projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architecture, engineering, and planning teams, with a focus on maintaining compliance and adopting digital specification tools to enhance workflow and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the construction, architectural or engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of specification writing and contract administration.
• Experience with National Master Specification (NMS) and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit specifications for projects and ensure compliance with requirements and codes.
• Translate design requirements into narrative descriptions and materials lists.
• Develop and update Master Specifications and NMS to meet best practices.
• Prepare specifications for complex projects across education, healthcare, industrial sectors.
• Implement digital specification tools to streamline production and share best practices.
