Zusammenfassung

LaSalle College in Montreal invites applications for a Specialized Education Technician role. You will respond to psychosocial support requests, implement accommodations, and work to develop student autonomy in collaboration with teachers and staff.

You will provide learning support with strategies and adapted materials, help develop social skills, and coordinate with teachers to ensure follow-up. This is a full-time position supporting students across the college.

Qualifikationen

• Hold a college diploma (DEC) with an appropriate specialization, particularly in social work, or have a recognized equivalent diploma.
• 3 years of relevant experience related to the position.
• Proficiency in French language (spoken and written).
• Professional proficiency in English language (spoken and written).

• Accompany students experiencing panic attacks during an exam period;
• Perform any other related tasks.

As a Specialized Education Technician, and under the supervision of the Associate Director - Student Services you play a key role in providing services to students within the Student Experience Directorate at LaSalle College. You advise and support both students and frontline colleagues. In your role, you intervene both in individual assistance and collective support.

Requirements

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
