The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Specialist to join our tax team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the tax team responsible for managing the tax compliance of Airbus' Canadian entities and will collaborate with the global tax team on various projects.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as Specialist, Taxation will be to prepare income tax and information returns for Canadian corporations, establish tax provisions, and support business units in tax optimization.

  • Prepare, or assist, in the preparation of tax provisions for all Canadian entities and collaborate with Airbus France Headquarters and external auditors for quarter / year-end requests;
  • In collaboration with the Tax Manager, take an active role in the business support function and play an important role in optimizing tax questions / matters in business transactions;
  • Manage and / or participate in tax audits of the group;
  • Assist the Head of Tax and Tax Manager and work closely with the Airbus global tax team, Finance and other business partners on various projects (Accounting / reporting, Internal controls and various business projects);
  • Prepare or review all corporate, indirect sales tax and VAT account reconciliations;
  • In collaboration with the Head of tax and Tax Manager and work with the business units to improve and automate existing processes
  • Work closely with the Head of Tax and Tax Manager on special projects, R&D, reorganizations, transfer pricing, and international tax matters, as required.
  • Support the team in performing various research, drafting tax memos and provide internal tax training to colleagues in various departments.
  • Keep up to date with changes in laws, decisions, regulations, judgments, and draft law relating to income and consumption taxes, analyze their repercussions, and develop the plan to achieve compliance objectives.
  • You have 3-5 years’ experience in tax compliance and reporting;
  • You hold a professional accounting designation and / or a master’s in taxation / In-Dept Tax programm;
  • You have effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and are concise, persuasive, diplomatic, an effective listener and well organized;
  • You are fluent in French and English, oral and written;
  • You are recognized as a team player;
  • You have an experience in indirect taxes and / or international taxation is an asset
  • You have strong MS Excel Skills and Knowledge of SAP, TAXPREP and other accounting software is an asset.
