Job summary

FCT is seeking a Specialist, Vendor Performance within the Default Solutions division. You will support and manage network vendor performance, ensuring delivery of results and value to our client base. Attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive feedback are essential.

Reporting to the Manager, Collections and Recoveries, you’ll collaborate with the Vendor Performance Lead and team members to drive program standards and outcomes across Canada.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in Collections, Litigation and/or debt Recovery with secured/unsecured bank products.
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive, self-motivated, customer-focused with initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRMs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage Law Firms, Collection Agencies, Skip Tracers and/or Process Servers per client guidelines.
  • Use KPI reporting to identify trends and opportunities for coaching.
  • Manage network communications and file escalations.
  • Complete vendor performance assessments with feedback and follow-up plans.
  • Perform assigned operational tasks and act as back-up as needed.
  • Participate in meetings as SME and assist in system testing.

As a Specialist, Vendor Performance within the Default Solutions division, you will be reporting to the Manager, Collections and Recoveries as part of the Managed Services Team. You will be working in partnership with the Vendor Performance Lead and other team members to support and manage the performance of assigned network vendors, ensuring the delivery of results and value to our growing client base. Attention to detail and an eye for quality is imperative along with the ability to manage through difficult conversations while providing constructive feedback. In your role as Specialist, Vendor Performance you will be called upon as a subject matter expert and may be required to participate in information gathering sessions for upcoming project work that aligns with our business unit.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
  • Monitor and manage Law Firms, Collection Agencies, Skip Tracers and/or Process Servers in accordance with the client expectations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance by utilizing a breadth of KPI reporting to identify trending and areas of opportunities for coaching/feedback to vendors for improved performance.
  • Manage network communications, including but not limited to, program updates and changes, file escalations.
  • Complete vendor performance assessments with feedback presented to the vendor with noted workplans and follow up to ensure our program standards.
  • Complete assigned operational tasks and act as ‘back up’ to cover additional tasks, as required, based on client requirements.
  • Project participation – act as SME, participate in meetings and complete system testing relevant to our line of business as required.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in Collections, Litigation and/or debt Recovery with secured/unsecured bank products, knowledgeable on legal remedies for consumer & commercial accounts. Prior credit lending experience an asset.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Positive, Self-motivated, customer focused, assertive, with the ability to learn quickly, take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required with the ability to interface effectively with cross functional teams, both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and demonstrated experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems (CRMs).
  • Ability to travel within Canada (minimal)

Total Direct Compensation:

$60,750 - $74,250

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
