Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Answering Credible Threat calls from Employees in field locations, assessing the situation using both tools and processes, and looping in all necessary parties.
  2. Using Social Media Listening tools, traditional media, Slack, and other tools for timely and efficient monitoring, tracking, assessing, and analysis of events which may impact or have the potential to impact company's customers or employees (e.g., Acts of Violence, Acts of Terror, Public Transit Outages, Hurricanes) and aiding market response to these types of impact events.
  3. Communicating market incidents to impacted teams in a timely and clear manner, advising on necessary actions for the market.
  4. Monitoring tools for incidents impacting employees traveling for work, communicating broadly when necessary.
  5. Using Social Listening tools to evaluate incidents occurring near Field Locations, notifying the necessary teams, guiding on necessary actions, and attending incident management team meetings.
  6. Communicating with large audiences, including varying degrees of seniority.
  7. Meticulously and accurately documenting incident alerts in real-time.
  8. Responding professionally and promptly to internal feedback and inquiries.
  9. Understanding the importance of privacy, given the sensitive nature of monitored, tracked, and discussed information.
  10. Showing up to work on time to ensure no incidents are missed.
  11. Being on-call and prepared to handle situations outside of standard working hours, with a willingness to step in when needed.

Experience and Skills:

  1. At least 1 year of experience as a business data specialist or in similar roles.
  2. Experience in Safety and/or de-escalation is a plus.
  3. Experience working with sensitive information.
  4. Ability to make independent decisions within broad procedural frameworks.
  5. Ability to multi-task and meet short-term, high-pressure deadlines.
  6. Ability to contribute to and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  7. Ability to work autonomously and independently.
  8. Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  9. Self-sufficient, highly motivated, with a desire to learn new technologies and industries.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with consistency and reliability.
  11. Genuine enthusiasm for learning, pushing technological boundaries, and solving problems.
  12. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  13. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent spelling and vocabulary.
  14. Interest in technology solutions (hardware & software).
  15. Excellent internet research and social media skills.
  16. Interest in monitoring ongoing current events.

Bonus Points:

  1. Previous experience in emergency or incident management, business continuity, or related fields.
  2. Experience in ride-sharing or startup environments.
