Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist for our Kitchener, ON facility.

You will support TMOS implementation, partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in product quality, efficiency and plant operations. You will lead KPI tracking, data-driven decisions, and replication of best practices across sites, while coaching teams on CI tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of related manufacturing or supply chain experience.
  • Exposure to project-based work and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support site leadership and process owners in implementing and sustaining TMOS.
  • Act as a change agent; model TMOS-aligned behaviors.
  • Track and report KPIs related to supply chain performance and assist with gap analysis.
  • Collaborate with division-level CI leaders to align with enterprise initiatives.
  • Support execution of CI projects to enhance supply chain processes and operational efficiency.
  • Identify process requirements and opportunities; help replicate best practices across sites.
  • Use site data to prioritize projects and define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Assist in CI initiatives at the site level and support process changes.
  • Prepare updates for project review meetings and document issues/outcomes.
  • Analyze product and information flow to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Deliver training and coaching on CI tools and methodologies.
  • Support plant-level initiatives and contribute to operational strategies.

Job Description:

About the Role:

We have an outstanding opportunity for an Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team at our Kitchener, ON facility, a manufacturer of quality crackers. In this role, you will support the implementation and sustainment of the TreeHouse Management Operating Structure (TMOS) while working to improve supply chain processes and operational performance. You will partner with site leadership and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, efficiency, and overall plant operations.

You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
  • Support site leadership and process owners in implementing and sustaining the TreeHouse Management Operating Structure (TMOS), ensuring standard manufacturing processes are consistently applied.

  • Act as a tactical resource and change agent; modeling behaviors aligned with TMOS.

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance and support KPI owners with gap analysis and follow-up actions.

  • Collaborate with division-level continuous improvement leaders to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Support execution of continuous improvement projects to enhance supply chain processes and operational efficiency.

  • Identify process requirements and improvement opportunities and assist with replication of best practices across sites.

  • Utilize site data to support project prioritization and development of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Assist in the execution of continuous improvement initiatives at the site level and support process changes.

  • Support project review meetings by preparing updates, tracking progress, and documenting issues or outcomes.

  • Conduct analyses of product and information flow using qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Assist in delivering training and coaching on continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

  • Support plant-level initiatives and contribute to the execution of operational strategies.

Important Details:
  • This is a full-time, on-site role on First Shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts and weekends.

  • The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $63,000 – 94,400 CAD annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
