Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a General Labourer to support the production line in Brantford, ON. You will ensure quality, help pack finished goods, and maintain a smooth line flow on an afternoon shift (3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.).

Job Description:

About the Role: The General Labourer plays a key hands‑on role in supporting the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the production line. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position focuses on maintaining product quality, ensuring uninterrupted line flow, and properly packing, documenting, and handling finished goods. You will add by doing the following, but not limited to:

  • Monitor product quality on the production line, removing defects and ensuring proper stacking, placement, and pack counts.
  • Prevent and safely clear product jams, divert overflow items, and maintain consistent line flow.
  • Assemble boxes, hand‑pack products, load cartons into cases, and palletize finished goods for transport.
  • Verify date codes, complete accurate QA documentation, and uphold all food‑safety standards.
  • Support operators as needed, maintain a clean and organized work area, and retrieve materials or rework products when required.
Important Details:

This is a full‑time, permanent position on the afternoon shift, operating 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime may be available depending on business needs. The hourly rate is CAD 21.42, plus an afternoon‑shift premium of CAD 0.75 per hour.

About You:
  • The physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs while performing fast‑paced, repetitive tasks with strong coordination.
  • A reliable, team‑oriented approach with solid communication skills, a strong work ethic, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Foundational qualifications such as a high school diploma or GED, basic food‑safety awareness, and ideally previous experience in food manufacturing.
