  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support enhancements and new functionality for enterprise applications, APIs, and system components throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, design documents, technical specifications, test plans, implementation documentation, operational procedures, and user guides
  • Support system design activities, configuration management, code and database administration, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments while adhering to CPKC development standards and processes
  • Provide functional and technical application support, participate in the weekly on-call rotation, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate solution implementation to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to track progress, resolve issues, communicate status updates, participate in project and team meetings, and perform additional responsibilities as required to support business priorities and operational excellence
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and application development experience
  • Minimum 6 years of Java application development experience, including extensive expertise with Spring Framework technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring MVC, and Java/JEE internals including class loading, memory management, and transaction management
  • Strong experience designing and developing scalable applications using MVC, RESTful services, dependency injection, microservices architecture, JSON/XML integrations, MQ messaging, and application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to optimize application performance through code tuning, SQL optimization, database design, and troubleshooting across relational database environments and Linux-based server platforms
  • Experience collaborating closely with business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions that balance functionality, timelines, quality, and implementation objectives while working within Agile and test-driven development methodologies
  • Additional experience with .NET applications, iOS native application development, Micro Focus Visual COBOL COBJVM integration, and enterprise messaging technologies is considered an asset
