Your Impact

You will shape how Newmont is viewed externally in Canada by executing communication strategies aligned with our mission. Your work will influence public perception and support sustainability goals through media relations and stakeholder engagement.

As Part Of Our Team You Will

  • Lead and execute external regional communication plans
  • Build and manage media relationships and secure regional coverage
  • Support issues management and public perception strategies
  • Collaborate with global teams for message alignment
  • Develop copy, event messaging, and regional content
  • Deliver communication training and support to local teams
  • Coordinate community programs and public relations events
  • Manage social media content that tells our story and inspires
  • Plan and execute strategic communication campaigns

Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, political science, journalism, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in communications or media relations
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling skills
  • Experience managing media and stakeholder relationships
  • Team player with collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Experience planning and executing communication campaigns
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, cross-cultural environments
  • Experience with photo and video editing is an asset
  • Experience in government or with Indigenous communities is an asset

Working Conditions

You will work with a regional team, combining office strategy, community engagement, and media collaboration, supporting sustainability communications. We value diverse experiences and encourage candidates with varied backgrounds to apply.

The salary range is CAD $110,900 - $147,900/year plus a 25% short-term incentive. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pension, EAP, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off. Benefits are subject to eligibility and company policies.
