• Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time

We are urgently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Special Projects Handyman to support immediate maintenance and repair needs at our Mississauga garage. This high-priority role is vital for maintaining the functionality, safety, and professional appearance of our facilities.

The position involves executing small-scale projects such as painting, surface restoration, and minor repairs, along with general facility maintenance. It is ideal for a motivated and autonomous individual capable of following instructions and meeting project deadlines. The work involves exposure to solvents, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals, requiring strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface prep, taping, sanding, and finishing
2. Conduct minor repairs like drywall patching, light carpentry, and fixture replacement
3. Handle chemicals safely following WHMIS and internal policies
4. Support preventative maintenance and facility upkeep
5. Follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly
6. Assist with material handling, organizing supplies, and manual tasks

Qualifications

1. Experience in repairs, painting, or handyman services
2. Proficiency with hand and power tools
3. Knowledge of WHMIS regulations and chemical safety
4. Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
5. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments
6. Valid driver’s license is a plus
