The Special Education Assistant works under the direction of the administrator, classroom teacher, and learning resource teacher to provide a range of support services to help students achieve their academic, social, physical and personal potential and assist students in five key areas; providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic support, alternative communication, and behavioural regulation supports as required by students and directed by teachers, to promote engagement, participation and success in school.
