Job summary

Livingstone Range School Division is seeking spare bus drivers to cover routes across the division. You will safely transport students to and from school, perform daily vehicle inspections, and interact with students and parents in a courteous, professional manner.

Typical hours are approximately 7:00 am–9:00 am and 3:00 pm–5:00 pm on school days, September to June. Training may be provided; ideal for retirees or those with flexible schedules. Contact the Transportation Coordinator for details.

Qualifications

  • Class 1 or 2 driver's license required; S Endorsement would be an asset.
  • Police Intervention Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
  • Current First Aid Certification required.

  • Safely driving students to and from school, following a set route, daily during the school year.

  • Communicating and interacting with students, parents, school employees, passengers, co-workers & the public in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Extra assignments may be available to regular route drivers, but are not mandatory.
  • A well-maintained fleet of automatic vehicles.
  • Regular Route Drivers can be assigned for field trips and extracurricular activities at the driver's discretion.
  • Still having lots of free time for yourself, your family or your other interests.

Hours Of Work
  • Approximately 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Fridays (September to June) on school days only.
Preferred Candidates Will Have
  • Clean Commercial Driver's Abstract
  • Class 2 Driver's License with the S Endorsement
  • Police Intervention Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Current First Aid Certification
Required
  • Class 1 or 2 driver's license (S Endorsement would be an asset)
  • Training may be provided to a suitable candidate
