Job summary

Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation is seeking an Advisor, Space Planning to design and maintain shelf management plan-o-grams across all stores in line with the annual category management schedule.

You will apply shelf management principles to support NSLC and Shopper Engagement, collaborating with Category Managers, Audit, Store Managers, and Network Development to ensure plans are delivered accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or business certificate with an emphasis on Commerce or Marketing.
• 1-3 years of experience designing shelf management plan-o-grams.
• Experience or training in Blue Yonder/JDA Space Planning and Floor planning software; including experience in creating reports.
• Experience working with shelf management application software.
• Experience working with database software, in particular SAP.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain current Shelf Management plan-o-grams and related systems across all retail stores, according to shelf management principles ensuring accuracy and scheduled deadlines are met.
• Develop and maintain floor plans ensuring merchandising standards are met and maintaining merchandising-specific floor plans for retail stores are accurate.
• Implement banner related assortment changes in accordance with Category Management requests and NSLC banner strategy.
• Liaise with other business units and key contacts to recommend, collaborate, and communicate changes relating to ongoing category management changes.
• Provide recommendations and solutions for special projects as required.
• Coordinate and create the Managers’ Choice assortment in SAP for retail stores at the scheduled times each year.
• Verify data and ensure corrections are made by the appropriate parties (article master data, etc.).
• Provide store data such as store product list and POP distribution lists to various teams.
• Provide coaching, support, goal setting, and performance feedback for Space Planning Coordinator.
