Job summary

Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation is seeking casual Store Clerks to deliver high quality customer service and efficiently manage transactions. The role supports the NSLC mandate for safe and responsible beverage alcohol and cannabis sales, with responsibilities aligned to company values.

Hours can vary week to week in this casual position; bilingual capabilities are important, with Eskasoni requiring English and Mi'kmaw.

Qualifications

Be at least 19 years of age.
Grade 12, GED, or equivalent.
Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Be physically able to lift 40lbs.
Willing to complete a Criminal Record check upon hire, or provide one issued within the last 6 months.
Willing to work shift work, particularly evenings and weekends.
Be bilingual in predominantly French speaking communities.
Eskasoni Location: bilingual in English and Mi'kmaw and member of Eskasoni First Nation (if applying there).
Previous cash and/or POS system experience (ideal).
Previous beverage alcohol industry experience (ideal).

Responsibilities

Provide high quality customer service and handle transactions.
Ensure compliance with safe and responsible sale of beverages and cannabis where applicable.
Maintain store operation and upkeep in line with NSLC values.
Perform responsibilities in accordance with NSLC Purpose, Vision and Values.
