Job summary

Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation (MDA Space) is seeking an Electronic Circuit Design Automation and DevOps Engineer in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC. You will automate electronics design, integration and test workflows for satellite payloads and related space electronics products.

The role covers automation of design-through-production processes, tools governance, and cloud migrations (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in automation scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Understanding of FPGA, PCB design, or software development tools.
• Knowledge of agile software development practices.
• Networking and security basics in an enterprise context.
• Excellent oral and written communication for technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Design, document and implement systems to automate electronics and software development activities.
• Support engineering tools, licensing, installation, upgrades, and IT capacity planning.
• Governance and digital transformation guidance for users.
• Assist in migrating tools to the cloud (AWS, Azure, Databricks).
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues for engineering activities.
• Create and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor applications and systems to identify key performance metrics.
