Job summary

MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Corp. (MDA Space) is seeking a Junior Electronics Validation and Test Engineer/Designer to support the design, integration and commissioning of specialized test equipment for space-grade electronic products.

You will work with PCB designers, FPGA, software and RF teams to develop complex test systems for flight hardware. The role offers exposure to high-speed digital and RF test environments, automation of test sequences, and collaboration across engineering

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with interest in testing electronic systems, high-speed digital communications (20 GHz+), and RF communications.
• 0-2 years experience in electronics/space testing or related fields.
• Knowledge of test automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with MATLAB & Python.
• Understanding of CI/CD frameworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design complex test setups and electrical ground support equipment.
• Write and execute test plans for space-flight electronics qualification.
• Develop automation for test sequences and data collection.
• Support integration of embedded systems, FPGAs and microcontrollers in test systems.
• Review test data with design teams and ensure compliance matrices.
• Troubleshoot and debug test equipment and flight hardware.
• Collaborate with product design and test teams for readiness reviews.
