ShawenimAbinoojii in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a Southern Care Case Manager to join the Southern Care Program. This full-time, permanent role focuses on holistic, family-centered care for youth in homes within the Southeast First Nations-led service model.

The position requires a BSW or equivalent, knowledge of foster care standards, strong communication, and ability to travel regularly within Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• BSW degree or equivalent; field experience considered.
• Knowledge of colonization impacts and intergenerational trauma.
• Understanding of foster care standards and licensing paperwork.
• Indigenous perspectives and First Nations culture knowledge.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork.
• Valid Manitoba driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Criminal and vulnerable sector checks current.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate pre-service orientation for new Care Providers.
• Build positive relationships with Care Providers and youth.
• Conduct intake care planning meetings with guardian agencies.
• Complete ongoing home documentation and licensing tasks.
• Maintain home studies and license applications as needed.
• Liaise with guardian workers to deliver care plans.
• Review monthly reports and incident reports for homes.
• Identify training needs and coordinate opportunities.
• Travel within Winnipeg and surrounding areas; accommodation provided.
