Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

Based at a world-class Horizon North camp facility, the shift is 20 days on and 10 days off, with 11-12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided from a designated pickup point.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food ordering and menu planning
  • Assist with food preparation, serving, and quality control
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
  • Maintain food safety standards using FOODSAFE and HACCP
  • Manage resources efficiently, including labor and chemicals
  • Provide personable and professional service to clients and staff
  • Consider dietary restrictions and preferences in meal planning
  • Conduct bi-weekly inventory checks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • SafeCheck advanced food safety or HACCP certification
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in hospitality / food service
  • Extensive experience as a Chef in various settings, with knowledge of international and domestic cuisines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GFS
  • Experience in menu costing, recipe implementation, and wage control
  • Strong practical and theoretical kitchen skills across multiple culinary areas
  • Effective leadership, positive personality, and good listening skills
