- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
- Create new recipes
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
- Prepare and cook meals and specialty foods for events
- Supervise kitchen staff
- Plan menus and ensure food quality standards
- Train staff in food preparation and handling
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Organize and maintain inventory
