Job summary

Purolator is seeking a part-time PM Sorter in Kitchener, ON. You will be responsible for sorting and moving freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules, during a Monday to Friday shift from 4:15pm to 7:15pm (15 hours/week).

Responsibilities include unloading and loading freight between trucks and conveyors, preloading mail and packages, and scanning items to ensure correct sorting. Workplace is a warehouse environment; English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Specialized education is not required.
• No experience necessary.
• Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to frequent communications with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
