Job summary

Purolator Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a Full-time Overnight AM Sorter to support our warehouse operations inside the Edmonton North Depot.

This role handles freight sorting by destination and size, maintains safety standards, and supports on-time delivery across our national network. You will work Sundays to Thursdays, 23:00–07:30, for 40 hours per week, with a permanent contract and pay rate of $23.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• CSA approved safety footwear required.
• Criminal record check required.
• English proficiency required for communications.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted mail or packages.

Location: Edmonton North Depot - 17718 114 Avenue

Working Hours: 40 weekly hours

Scheduled Shift: full-time, 23:00-07:30, Sunday to Thursday

Employment Contract: Permanent

Pay rate: $23.40/hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

• Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Technological literacy
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• Flexible working hours
• CSA approved safety footwear
• Successfully complete a criminal record check to qualify

Experience

Specialized education is not required.

No experience necessary.
