Job summary

Intelcom | Dragonfly is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations role in a fast-paced Canadian facility. The position focuses on safety, compliance, and efficient management of sorting, loading, unloading, and freight movement with daily liaison to optimization teams and carriers.

The role supports mentoring staff, scheduling shifts, maintaining quality checks, and generating operational reports to ensure accurate inventory and secure docking practices.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
• Operations management: Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing packages (including defective items and returns).
• Unloading and Loading: Assign labor, unload pallets, assist with sorting packages and envelopes as needed.
• Inbound and outbound freight movement Management support: Confirm and communicate with optimization team on daily bases before start operations.
• Day-to-Day Monitoring, Track Line Haul operations, communicate with carriers, and monitor FMC for Amazon freight.
• Team leadership and monitoring: Mentor and support Package Handlers during the sort process; coach and train warehouse staff; schedule associates; evaluate performance.
• Quality control: Conduct quality checkups on sorted freight and inbound/outbound processes.
• Administration and reporting: Data entry, reports, handle driver credentials, BOL exchange, docking, cost control.
• Warehouse Organization & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organize the warehouse, set up sorting layout.

Salary Range $48 125,00 - $60 156,50

Core Duties

• Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
  • Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
  • Respond to emergencies as required.
• Operations management
  • Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing packages (including defective items and returns).
  • Ensure sorting operations are completed correctly and efficiently.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, dispatching, and inventory management.
  • Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.
• Unloading and Loading Assign labor, unload pallets. Assist with Sorting, help with sorting packages and envelopes as needed.
• Inbound and outbound freight movement Management support
  • Confirm and communicate with optimization team on daily bases before start operations.
• Day-to-Day Monitoring, Track Line Haul operations, communicate with carriers, and monitor FMC for Amazon freight.
• Team leadership and monitoring
  • Mentor and support Package Handlers during the sort process.
  • Coach and mentor warehouse associates, including training new hires.
  • Schedule warehouse associates.
  • Evaluate and assess employee performance, workplace conduct and compliance as required, including discipline where appropriate.
• Quality control
  • Conduct quality checkups and sorted freight and inbound and outbound process.
• Administration and reporting
  • Perform data entry as needed.
  • Complete and Submit Reports.
  • Handle driver credentials, BOL exchange, and secure docking.
