Job summary

Intelcom | Dragonfly in Vernon, Canada is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead to supervise sorting, scanning, and shipping processes. You will manage labor, ensure accurate freight handling, and coordinate with the optimization team to keep daily operations efficient.

The role emphasizes safety, quality checks, data entry, and reporting, with opportunities to mentor warehouse staff and improve packing and unloading workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment.
• Safety: Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
• Safety: Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
• Safety: Respond to emergencies as required.
• Operations management: Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing packages (including defective items and returns).
• Operations management: Ensure sorting operations are completed correctly and efficiently
• Operations management: Oversee shipping, receiving, dispatching, and inventory management.
• Operations management: Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.
• Operations management: Unloading and Loading: Assign labor, unload pallets.
• Operations management: Assist with Sorting, help with sorting packages and envelopes as needed.
• Operations management: Inbound and outbound freight movement Management support,
• Operations management: Confirm and communicate with optimization team on daily bases before start operations
• Operations management: Day-to-Day Monitoring, Track Line Haul operations, communicate with carriers, and monitor FMC for Amazon freight.
• Team leadership and monitoring: Mentor and support Package Handlers during the sort process.
• Team leadership and monitoring: Coach and mentor warehouse associates, including training new hires.
• Team leadership and monitoring: Schedule warehouse associates
• Team leadership and monitoring: Evaluate and assess employee performance, workplace conduct and compliance as required , including discipline where appropriate .

Salary Range

$48,125.00 - $60,156.50

Core Duties:

Safety and Compliance

• Handle driver credentials, BOL exchange, and secure docking.

• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization.
