Responsibilities

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure Health & Safety protocols and a hazard-free work environment.
• Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
• Conduct safety audits and warehouse checks.
• Respond to emergencies as required.
• Operations management: Supervise sorting, scanning, and processing packages (including defective items and returns).
• Ensure sorting operations are completed correctly and efficiently; oversee shipping, receiving, dispatching, and inventory management.
• Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.
• Unloading and Loading: Assign labor, unload pallets; assist with sorting of packages and envelopes.
• Inbound/outbound freight movement: Confirm and communicate with optimization team; monitor line-haul operations and carriers.
• Team leadership and monitoring: Mentor and coach warehouse associates; schedule staff and evaluate performance.
• Quality control: Conduct quality checkups of sorted freight and processes.
• Administration and reporting: Data entry, reports submission, manage driver credentials and docking; cost control.
• Warehouse organization: Ensure cleanliness, organize sorting layout.
