Are you a driven and dedicated Sonographer looking for an exciting opportunity? Join Mount Sinai Hospital, where your expertise will contribute to our recently renovated general ultrasound department.
You will collaborate with a supportive team, using advanced ultrasound equipment for various procedures. Whether a recent graduate or experienced practitioner, Mount Sinai offers growth opportunities and a positive work culture to develop your skills and build a fulfilling career.
Your proficiency in time management, communication, and problem-solving is essential. You will conduct neonatal ultrasounds for NICU patients, perform bowel ultrasounds for inflammatory bowel disease, and carry out pelvic ultrasounds for endometriosis mapping under radiologist supervision.
You approach patients with compassion and respect, work independently, and foster a team environment. Your ability to work seamlessly with sonographers and radiologists in a teaching hospital setting is vital. You will perform urgent scans and participate in research projects, contributing to medical imaging advancements.
The Ultrasound departments provide a state-of-the-art setting for clinical practice, teaching, and research. The main department operates 24/7, handling a high volume of diverse ultrasound exams for various patient populations. The general ultrasound department has eight exam rooms and two portable units, while the obstetrical ultrasound department has 13 exam rooms, performing approximately 50,000 exams annually.
