Position Summary

Join the JDMI at UHN, one of Canada's largest academic medical imaging departments, performing over 750,000 exams annually. We prioritize patient care and image quality using cutting-edge digital technology, supported by a team of 700+ staff and 90 radiologists. Our department is committed to innovation, research, education, and service. We focus on ongoing education, quality assurance, and are fully affiliated with the University of Toronto and The Michener Institute. As a Sonographer, you will provide exceptional diagnostic services and uphold high standards of patient care.

Duties

• Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure the functioning of ultrasound and related equipment
• Prepare written and electronic reports documenting procedures and results; participate in teaching, safety, and quality programs
• Perform patient care responsibilities to facilitate optimal care

Qualifications

• Current registration with the CMRITO and fulfillment of annual continuing education requirements
• Completion of a BCLS Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
• Membership with Sonography Canada (preferred)
• Registration with ARDMS in OB and Abdomen (preferred)
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to patients in challenging situations
• Strong inter-professional collaboration skills
• Good judgment to ensure safety and best patient outcomes
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changes
