Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or general sonography) per protocols.

  • Capture, analyze, and document diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness.

Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Per Diem

Reports To: Sonography Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical ability, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or general sonography) in accordance with established protocols
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams and ensuring comfort and safety
  • Accurately capture, analyze, and document diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness
  • Review patient history and verify exam orders prior to procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies
  • Adhere to professional standards, safety guidelines, and continuing education requirements
Qualifications
