Job Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Solutions Architect, Security to design and deliver high-impact security solutions that align with business goals and regulatory standards. This is a remote role open to candidates located in Canada. This role is ideal for a seasoned security architect who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, advising clients on strategy, and implementing secure, scalable architectures across cloud and hybrid environments. The successful candidate will be a thought leader, bringing technical depth and strategic insight to every stage of the solution lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients in discovery sessions to identify security needs and align solutions to business goals.
• Design tailored security architectures for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, integrating tools such as SIEM, XDR, IAM, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
• Develop and present strategic security roadmaps that align with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, GDPR, CCPA).
• Provide oversight during implementation, ensuring secure and seamless deployment in client environments.
• Guide internal teams and clients through technical design reviews, integration processes, and performance optimizations.
• Support compliance efforts by translating technical controls into actionable security practices.
• Contribute to business development efforts including RFP responses, proposal development, and client presentations.
• Create internal documentation, including knowledge briefs, SOPs, and reusable service delivery assets.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 3–5 years specifically in a Solutions Architect or consulting role.
• Subject matter expertise in technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, DLP, WAF, IDS/IPS, VPN, and firewalls.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Security tools including Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Data Explorer, Microsoft Purview, and M365 XDR.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, including single sign-on solutions.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps methodologies, secure coding practices, and container security.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ITSM practices, and project management.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and cross-platform configuration management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical designs into business outcomes for diverse audiences.
