Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead data, automation and platforms initiatives. You will design end-to-end technical solutions, define architecture artifacts, and guide technology roadmaps across teams and business partners.

You will drive organizational change by introducing new patterns, best practices, and modern ways of working while staying current with industry trends and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Design and implement end-to-end technical solutions that meet business requirements.
• 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in application modernization and cloud migration.
• Full stack development experience on Java, Tomcat, Spring Boot, React, BPM Engines, Rules Engines, API Gateways and SQL databases.
• Experience in business application platforms like Appian, Pega, IBM BAW.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, define, and facilitate solution architecture leveraging enterprise capabilities.
• Define and maintain technical architecture with Architecture teams; support decisions and roadmaps.
• Apply standards to define infrastructure non-functional requirements and ensure guidelines.
• Act as focal point for resolving complex issues through high-quality design.
• Identify opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency with innovative solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Foster a high-performance culture within architecture and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with peers to design scalable solutions for future changes.
