Job summary

Canada Life is hiring a Solutions Architect in Toronto. The role collaborates with Portfolio & Technology teams, sponsors, and stakeholders to design solution architectures and technology roadmaps that support project delivery and application support.

The architect will drive architectural direction, define artifacts, and push for innovative patterns that deliver business value while aligning with modern ways of working.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years in complex IT environments (architecture, app dev, integration).
• 4+ years cloud solution architecture and Enterprise Design Patterns.
• Experience designing Microservices/Micro App architectures.
• Ability to lead and influence across multiple teams.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Produce clear architecture artifacts.
• Preference for simplicity and iterative/Agile approaches.
• Strong analytical skills balancing big-picture and detail.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across geographies.
• Self-starter in ambiguity.
