Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to uncover objectives and needs.
• Translate business goals into scalable technology solutions across cloud, AI, and security areas.
• Develop high-level proposals, SOWs, and effort estimates reflecting timelines and margins.
• Partner with Account Executives to support opportunities and align with delivery teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to validate approaches and enable smooth handoffs to delivery.
• Provide delivery timelines and transition details for presales-to-delivery handoff.

MOBIA is currently recruiting a Solution Architect to join our team remotely. This is a presales-first architecture role where you will partner closely with Account Executives and clients to lead technical discovery, shape strategic solutions, develop proposals and estimates, and ensure solutions align with client outcomes, MOBIA’s capabilities, and delivery expectations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in client-facing architecture, consulting, or presales roles, with the ability to translate business challenges into practical technology solutions. They will be comfortable leading technical conversations, uncovering underlying business needs, challenging assumptions when appropriate, and creating solutions that balance technical excellence, business value, and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to understand business objectives, challenges, desired outcomes, and the underlying needs behind stated technology requirements.
• Translate business outcomes into scalable technology solutions across areas such as infrastructure modernization, cloud architecture, platform engineering, containerization, cybersecurity, data, and AI.
• Own the development of high-level proposals, statements of work, and levels of effort that accurately reflect project requirements, timelines, delivery expectations, and commercial considerations.
• Partner with Account Executives to support sales opportunities, provide technical guidance, and position solutions within MOBIA’s partner ecosystem.
• Collaborate with technical teams to validate solution approaches and ensure a smooth transition from presales into delivery.
• Provide high-level delivery timelines and transition information to support a smooth handoff from presales into delivery.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement and contribute to the continued development of MOBIA’s solution offerings.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical stakeholders and business leaders.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in a client-facing technical presales, consulting, or solution architecture role.
• Proven experience leading technical discovery sessions, developing solutions, and supporting enterprise or mid-market client engagements.
• Strong understanding across multiple technology domains, with depth in areas such as cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, platform engineering/containerization, cybersecurity, data, AI, or related technologies.
• Hands-on familiarity with modern technology concepts such as cloud platforms, automation, Kubernetes/OpenShift, containerization, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience developing proposals, statements of work, effort assessments, and project estimates, with an understanding of professional services delivery models and project margins.
• Ability to lead opportunities from technical discovery through proposal development and sales-to-delivery transition.
• Experience working with technology partners, vendor ecosystems, or within consulting, systems integration, managed services, or professional services environments is an asset.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKS/CKAD), Red Hat certifications, HashiCorp certifications, or AI/cloud-related credentials are considered assets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical stakeholders and business leaders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and challenge assumptions to identify the right solution.
• Being bilingual in French and English is an asset.
