Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our technology team. This critical role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, owning the end‑to‑end design of solutions. The Solutions Architect will ensure that projects and features are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals and established enterprise architecture standards.

This is a strategic role responsible for aligning technology with business objectives. The Solutions Architect ensures all investments contribute to a cohesive, scalable, and resilient enterprise architecture. They will independently manage and deliver end‑to‑end designs from concept to completion, provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering team members, and establish technology standards, patterns, and principles within the Software Engineering team.

  • Solution Design: Lead conceptual and detailed design of new applications, features, and integrations. Create comprehensive architectural documentation (blueprints, diagrams, models) to guide development teams.
  • Requirements Translation: Translate complex business needs and user stories into effective technical requirements and architectural components.
  • Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, cloud services, integration patterns, and third‑party tools.
  • Performance & Scalability: Ensure architectures are designed for high performance and horizontal scalability to support growth.
  • Technical Governance: Ensure solutions adhere to standards for performance, security, scalability, and enterprise architecture alignment.
  • Data Solution Design: Design end‑to‑end data flows and architecture, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
  • Technology Selection: Choose appropriate data technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, data warehouses) and cloud services based on requirements.
  • Data Modeling: Define conceptual and logical data models to ensure performance, maintainability, and alignment with solution needs.
  • Integration Strategy: Define integration mechanisms (APIs, message queues, ETL/ELT) to connect solutions with enterprise systems, CRMs, and reporting tools.
  • Security & Compliance: Design data security measures (encryption, access controls, auditing) to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Oversee the organization’s application portfolio, identify redundancies, optimize IT costs, and drive modernization efforts such as application rationalization and technical debt reduction.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Mentor engineering staff on architectural best practices and patterns.
  • Identify architectural and design risks early and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
  • Conduct technical reviews of in‑flight projects.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
  • 7+ years of experience in software development or engineering roles, including at least 3 years in Solution Architecture or Lead Technical Architecture.
  • Proven ability to design large‑scale, complex enterprise systems across application, data, infrastructure, and security domains.
  • Expertise in public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and cloud‑native solution design.
  • Strong command of data modeling, networking, security principles, and the full SDLC.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to articulate technical decisions and trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and research skills.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications.
Preferred
  • Experience leading application rationalization, modernization, and/or replacement initiatives.
  • TOGAF or Zachman Certification.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive base salary plus bonus based on company and individual performance.
  • Permanent, full‑time position.
