Pro West Solar Systems (Pro West Electrical Inc.) in Edmonton, AB, is seeking an Electrical Apprentice - Solar Installer to join its growing team. You will learn how to install and commission solar PV systems on residential and commercial projects under the guidance of journeypersons.

This hands-on role covers roof work, electrical connections, testing, safety, and customer service, with on-the-job mentorship, full-time employment, and opportunities to advance in Alberta's solar trades.

Qualifications

• Registered electrical apprentice or pursuing apprenticeship with intent to complete.
• Willing to work at heights and outdoors year-round.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to transportation.
• Comfort with hand and power tools; eager to learn installation techniques.
• Team-oriented with strong work ethic and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV systems under supervision including racking, wiring.
• Handle on-site materials and equipment safely.
• Assist with electrical and solar system testing, troubleshooting, quality checks.
• Assist with electrical panel upgrades for solar projects.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and tooling.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols on site.
• Represent Pro West professionally to customers on site.
