Pro West Solar Systems in Edmonton, AB is seeking an Electrical Apprentice - Solar Installer to learn on real job sites alongside experienced electricians and solar installers, building a long-term career in the electrical trade with a focus on solar.

You will gain hands-on experience in solar installation, electrical connections, roof work, and client service, while contributing to projects that help Alberta homeowners and businesses transition to clean energy.

Qualifications

• Registered electrical apprentice or strong intention to complete an electrical apprenticeship.
• Comfort working at heights and outdoors year-round in Alberta weather.
• Good driving record and reliable transportation to Edmonton region sites.
• Willingness to learn new installation techniques and use hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV systems under journeypersons' direction (racking, modules, wiring, connections).
• Handle materials on-site safely (loading/unloading, staging, lifting to ~60 lbs).
• Assist testing, troubleshooting, and quality checks to meet code and design.
• Support electrical panel upgrades and service work for solar projects as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment for efficiency and safety.
• Follow PPE, fall protection, and site safety requirements; contribute to safety culture.
• Represent Pro West on-site with professional communication.
