MEDA Engineering & Technical Services is seeking an experienced Software Testing Specialist to design, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests for high-profile automotive software projects. The role requires a strong background in verification, test strategies, and agile team leadership within a hybrid work model in Ottawa, Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent.
• 8+ years of advanced professional experience with Software / Requirements Verifications projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for multiple Verification / Validation scopes & Integration levels).
• 5+ years of professional experience implementing test and automation strategies and designing test strategies.
• Understand product requirements and deliver automated tests to validate the production software.
• Knowledge of Python and Object-Oriented Programming methods.
• Solid understanding of vehicle network architecture and knowledge of important infotainment features.
• Extensive Experience on Requirements Engineering or Electrical Architecture or Software Architectures or Functional Architectures.
• Experience with Software configuration management systems (source control, DevSecOps, CI/CD) and Software operations (DevSecOps, Reliability Engineering, observability, etc.).
• Experience with multiple tech stacks and the verification of its functions including QNX, and Android Automotive.
• Lead agile teams by following agile practices with Internal Software Design Verification groups, as well as Tier I and Tier II suppliers.
• Design Verification architectures and Automation Frameworks with scale, reliability, security, performance and release characteristics.
• Experience in modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-driven or behavior driven development.

We are recruiting an experienced Software Testing Specialist to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Designing, developing, maintaining, and executing software tests for high profile products

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated success creating evolutionary Design Verification architectures and Automation Frameworks with appropriate operational characteristics: scale, reliability, security, performance, Functional, Release, etc.
• Experience in modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-driven or behavior driven development

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$52.00 - $56.00/hour (depending on experience)

• Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
• Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
