Catalis, an Edmonton-based government SaaS and payments provider, is seeking a proactive Software Implementation Specialist to configure, install, and support software solutions for municipal clients. You will work with Project Managers, Developers, QA Analysts, and Sales to deliver high-quality configurations and integrations that meet contractual requirements.

The role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm MDT (or other time zone as agreed).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

• Exposure to C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON/XML.

Responsabilidades

• Learn, configure, install, and support software systems and all necessary components.
• Assist with application configuration, system integrations, and API connectivity between Catalis solutions and third‑party systems.
• Collaborate with internal team members and clients to gather both business and technical requirements required to deliver software solutions that align with contractual requirements.
• Analyze technical issues, troubleshoot system behavior, and support issue resolution during implementations.
• Contribute to data migration, validation, and testing activities utilizing SQL queries and database tools where needed.
• Create product, technical, and project documentation, including configuration specifications and implementation guides.
• Contribute to the development of project plan milestones for each client, detailing implementation, integration, and testing activities.
• Communicate with aligned Catalis Project Manager(s), Business Analysts, and development teams throughout the implementation process to collaborate on solution design and issue resolution.
• Support configuration and deployment of solutions built on Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Contribute value through high-quality solution implementation to create referenceable clients coming out of the implementation process.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Software Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic Payments team. In this role, your primary focus will be understanding business rules and product requirements in order to configure software solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with a variety of resources, including Project Managers, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Sales team members in order to achieve key deliverables and project milestones. Your contributions will be critical in ensuring our clients receive a high-quality software solution.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm MDT (or other time zone as mutually agreed.)

Requirements

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot intermediate to complex software and integration issues.
• Foundational understanding of software development concepts, object‑oriented programming, and application architecture.
• Exposure to C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON/XML, or related development technologies.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL querying.
• Ability to analyze system requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• The ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a broader team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

Additional Skills Preferred, but Not Required

• SQL Server experience and knowledge.
• Exposure to C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, or related Microsoft development technologies.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, web services, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, or similar development tools.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience with business analysis for system implementations, configuration, and application development.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.
• Experience with Jira and Smartsheet.
• Experience in state/county court systems or court case management systems.
• Familiarity with coding principles and software debugging techniques.
