Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a group of talented developers on Canada Air programs. You will oversee day-to-day software team operations to ensure on-time delivery within budget and alignment with program goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or Software Engineering, strong leadership, and experience with software for aircraft systems or related domains. Security clearance is a consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading software engineering teams with daily oversight and career progression support.
• Experience with design and deployment of software for aircraft systems or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of software developers, providing guidance and coordination.
• Manage delivery of software releases to the customer per program commitments and dependencies.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Airworthiness and stakeholders to align software with project goals and timelines.
• Allocate resources across projects in the Canadian Air portfolio and enable teambuilding across large teams.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to implementation, performance, and delivery.
