Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking Systems Engineering Analysts to join our Canadian Air team. This role suits someone with strong system-level thinking and experience contributing to aerospace programs.

You will perform design, analysis, and test activities, update requirements, document architecture, and support root-cause investigations. Knowledge of navigation, RF, communications, or software systems is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience; 10+ years preferred.
  • Defence and Aerospace experience is highly desirable.
  • Requirements development and system design.
  • Requirements management tools.
  • Systems Engineering processes and tools.
  • Supporting System Integration and System Verification
  • Technical writing.
  • Understanding of Software and Systems Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Performing design, analysis and/or test activities in support of completing the project objectives.
  • Documenting analysis, designs and tests (e.g., architecture diagrams, tech notes, design documents, test plans and test reports).
  • Writing formal test cases and execute them to collect formal test results.
  • Preparing written test reports for submission to the end customer.
  • Investigating system problem reports and field incident reports; perform root cause and trend analyses.
  • Providing technical support during higher level integration and qualification testing.
  • Providing technical inputs to, and reviewing technical outputs from subcontractors.
  • Product and process improvements; identifying opportunities to improve products and services, and drive those changes.
  • Making presentations of work at design reviews or other types of peer review.
  • Providing support to the software team to ensure alignment to program requirements and operational performance expectations.
